Location: The lowest place on earth.
The bridge is 126 meters long and 15.5 meters wide, with a maximum span of 58 meters.
The bridge was constructed using the incremental launching method.
Many challenges were addressed during the design process including construction in the harsh environmental conditions of the Dead Sea region with its highly saline soil and corrosive environment.
Due to proximity to the Syrian-African Rift, stringent seismic considerations were taken into account in order to reach safe design limits, leading us to use Friction Isolation Pendulum devices.
In addition to the detailed design, Construction Engineering services were also given to the contractor.
