The project included planning and accompaniment of the execution of the underground LRT stations along the length of Ibn Gabirol Street, Tel Aviv. The stations, which are 22 meters wide, up to 200 meters in length, and have a maximum depth of 30 meters, were designed and executed using the “cut & cover” method. The upper structure of the station is a steel bridge with a 22-meter span that allows movement over the stations. Each station has two or three entrance structures of different geometries.
The project is characterized by the need to plan and execute the works in a dense urban environment below the groundwater table and in synchronization with infrastructures of considerable density and complexity.
Among other things, Gash performed a review of buildings and prepared a risk survey of the nearby buildings.
