Nahal Poleg

Two compressed bridges spanning an area of 10,000 m2 and a length of 245 meters each were designed as part of raising Route 2 over Poleg stream and the sinking road levee in the Netanya area. To allow the continued massive flow of traffic on Route 2, the plans for the bridge utilized the compression method. The plans included complex geometric compatibility given the bridge course having both vertical and lateral curves. The project also included various types of retaining and acoustic walls, water conduits, signage bridges, an agricultural bridge and a casting yard for the bridge segments.
