Road bridge over the Jordan River. The bridge is made of composite steel plate girders with a reinforced concrete carriageway platform 52 meter-wide spans. The project required the complete lifting and assembling of the 100 ton steel bridge, conducted from both banks of the river. The fact that the bridge passes over the Syrian-African Rift required earthquake analyses and coming up with design solutions that take them into account.
